In a shock announcement on the Pokémon Japanese website today, it has been revealed that there will be a brand new Pokémon role playing game, in stores this year!
The president of Pokémon Company confirmed that they are working on an entirely new Pokémon RPG for the Nintendo DS, and that it will include at least one brand new Pokémon! Our translation of the announcement tells us that they are planning to recreate the game from the ground up, so that should introduce some interesting new gameplay elements.
So that would make this mystery game the first of the fifth Generation of Pokémon games, and the first time a new generation has begun on the same console as the previous generation of games. So what is your reaction to this news? Our first thoughts are that we would rather they created a definitive Pokémon RPG for the Wii, using the advanced graphics and motion capabilities of the console rather than simply create another DS game. I think it is actually better to use ds because i prefere the graphics and can’t be bothered to set up the wii.
I think they can guartee at least three new pokemon… the starters… and maybe zorua and zoroark… but they might be starters if there is a further eveloution.

Nintendo should bring out a new handheld and release the games on that. But it’d be hard to improve on the DS…
It shouldn’t be on the Wii though. A pokemon RPG HAS TO BE on a handheld.
i think it should be on the wii because it has better graphics and you should be able to customize your characters clothes and there should be new moves too and about new pokemon i think they will be like other pokemon fused together

About the Wii part ..Nahh ds is a lot better cuz you can take them anywhere plus if u want wii graphics on ds they just have to copy the graphics of spectrobes portals xD

i just cant wait till soulsilver comes out but its to dear to pre order now at 39.99 WHAT i thought when i walked in when platinum at toys are us it was only 24.99 does anybody know were i could find it cheaper
If they are going to do one on Wii I think that it needs to be like Pokemon World where you start from Kanto region and move your way through all the regions

I hope that this new game will have the power to make your own character including hair, eyes and even clothes! And to make things better it would be cool if you could go to the all the reigons!
i have heard a lot of people calling zorua ugly when its damn well cute and the same goes with riolu ( i dont call myself riolu lover for a laugh you know!)and another thing give us a new region im sick and tired of sinnoh dimond,pearl and platinum are exellent games and all but i want to explore new places and the person who had the idea of a custimisable trainer is a genius!!

sounds cool but I’d like all of the pokemon to be new.in fact. stuff those stupid evil teams…and what the hell have those good for nothing profs. done… NOTHiNG!!! excluding being a HUGE pain in the arse!
I would like a completely new version of hoenn.think about it…how awesome would it be if say TROPIUS got huge and ninja or latias and latios had evolutions…
hoenn could be all high-tech and steven stone had created a revoultionary device that had made hoenn rich and those good for nothing proffessors got their much needed fund money and actually put some effort into their research and discovered loads of new pokemon. there would be enough money to create cruise ships and that would allow you to cross the ocean to other regions. which would also have new pokemon too!
