It’s hard to believe that a magazine we launched back in 2000 to entertain fans of a new videogame and cartoon series would still be going ten years on. But thanks to all the loyal Pokémon fans out there, we will be celebrating our 100th issue in February. To mark this momentous occasion we are running a competition and asking you to vote for your No.1 Pokémon of all time.
All you’ve got to do is click this email link below and simply tell us the name of your No.1 Pokémon, then include your name, age and address details too. We will compile a Top Ten of the most popular monsters and bring you all the results in issue 100, on sale 4th February 2010. There will be some very special free gifts with the 100th issue too – including a special cardboard model of the No.1 Pokémon that you vote for!
So, “What’s up for grabs?!” we hear you cry! Well we’ve put together a Pokémon goodie bag from stuff we’ve been sent over the years. There are Pokémon Trading Cards, Pokémon toys, Pokémon games and Pokémon World books. The exact contents of our goodie bag is a secret (and likely to change and increase in size as we find more stuff to include!) but this is a prize that all Pokémon fans are going to love!

Lugia will over come EVERY Pokemon in a straight matchup in coolness as well as in power. ( as hinted above mabye not Darkrai for power due to nightmares that Darkrai causes ).

I think Vibrava is the best, second best probably shiny Tentacruel. I have both on my Platinum and are both level 100s because i love them so much. I think that people should judge how much they like a Pokémon by how much it appeals to them in looks and character, not by stats or power. Happy Birthday Pokémon World! Ok people. I have to say……DIALGA PWNS!!!!!!!!! I gotta tell you, I just love this diamond fortress of a Poke’mon. Once I saw what this thing could do back in the Rise of Darkrai, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, and especially Arceus and the Jewel of Life, WHEW!!! Man, Nintendo really made history with that owning Roar of Time in the 10th and saving Pikachu and Piplup in the 12th! I just can’t describe him any other way.

My vote for the No.1 is my very own Torterra! He was my very first pokemon in Platinum and Diamond since he was just a little Turtwig(note, i got diamond first). He’s always gotten me out of tight situations(well, MOST situations anyway, and now he’s lv.100, I got him to lv.100 over the summer with no rare candys, I SWEAR IT!). Together we beat the battle arcade star in the battle frontier and Cynthia.My line up for the Battle Arcade was:
Torterra(of course:/)male.
Salamence female
and Ariados.
Let me tell ya, the second time was a EXTREAMLY TIGHT situation, it was down to the arcade star’s Ludicolo, and my Salamance was almost out of life, (almost fainted, in the red zone and probably less then 30) Ludicolo was fast, but Salamence was faster, when it attacked it looked like I won but Ludicolo was hanging by a thread. and when Salamence fainted then it was all up to *trumpet fanfare* , ARIADOS!!!
(for those people saying ,thinking or both thinking and saying: DUDE, why the heck you send out Ariados, You have a extreamly strong Torterra!!!!. well my Torrterra was dead thanks to her duskenoir or medicham you idiots (no offence)! Well, you get the point, it was tight situation. Torterra with always have that special place in my heart, and for those of you who think Torterra doesn’t deserve the no.1 spot or anything like that, i don’t give a crap about it, well see ya and may the best Pokémon win!!!

Ultimately I say Pikachu will win this competition.
In the anime series Pikachu NEVER loses. it beat an Onyx in the very first series and it apparently is resistant to the Pikachu (Onyx) but Pikachu, the small yellow furry mouse throws somes electric type moves at the Sprinklers above Onyx and what do you know a bit of water takes it down.
