It looks like the coolest Pokémon game ever – just look at all those Pikachus running about the carnival! It turns out that it’s not an official WiiWare release just yet, though, but a summer special game created for members of the Pokémon Dusaki Club in Japan. They play it from their web browser in Flash. It’s a collection of mini-games all set around a Pokémon Carnival. There’s a tournament going on that you’ve got to compete in and win, using your favourite Pokémon in angular 3D!
We can’t believe for a second that Nintendo will waste such a game on the web alone, though. With all the programming done, how hard can it be to convert this to a WiiWare download? Expect to see it at some point, and we’ll say, “Told you so!” The tournament finished on 7 September, but check out the website at www.pokemon.jp/portal/html/summer09/index.cfm. Sometimes Pokémon Company in Japan takes these websites down when the event has finished, but click it – you might get lucky!
