These three are added to Zoroark and Zorua as the new fifth generation Pokémon you will be playing with in the upcoming Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. These are the starter Pokémon and you will explore Isshu and Hiun City with them by your side.
Tsutaja is the green, Grass-type Pokémon. It’s actually a Grass Snake Pokémon, 0.6m tall and weighing 8.1kg. It’s ability is Overgrow.
Pokabu is a Fire Pig Pokémon of Fire-type. It’s brown, 0.6m tall and weighs 9.9kg. This Pokémon’s ability is Blaze.
Then there’s blue and white Mijumaru, a Sea Otter Pokémon. It is Water-type and weighs 5.9kg and is 0.5m tall. It has Torrent as its ability.
Nintendo of Japan has just released the artwork of these Pokémon, along with artwork of the male and female main characters of Pokémon Black and White, looking much more grown up than they have done in previous games. The official website has also been updated with some new screenshots, although they are very tiny! Here’s a look at what’s new…
The Grass Type is AWSOME! I so want to see their evolutions!
Amazing! That’s all I can say really! I’m loving the fire type the most, but it is a bit bland. The water type is a big shock though ….

those are the starters?! 0.o the pig and snake are ok, but the ‘sea otter’ is terryfying! it looks like a blue and white snowball… 0.o gahhh… i love pokemon, and this new game looks awesome, but i really hope the new pokemon are gonna be half decent… i mean, i liked most of the gen 4 pokemon, but ones like rotom and magnezone were just let downs… a fridge is not a pokemon! XD hopefully gen 5 will be more imaginative, and less robotic… apologies for ranting, but im just worried about what these pokemon are gonna all look like XD hopefully no more household appliances!

Ugh! It makes me happy that they are taking this to a whole new level, but SERIOUSLY, right after the realease of HG and SS? Couldnt they have waited? It upsets me that i have to purchase yet another copy of pokemon. No doubt it will be great,but I JUST GOT Soul Silver 2 months ago!!!

Not sure what i make of the new screen shots yet, i mean, i like the 3.D-ness, but only as a novalty just call me old fasioned, but i LIKED the 2.D bright ness of the old game.
Makes sense to have older trainers i think, i mean, Ash is still about 10 even though Pokemon has beena round for more than 10 years… i should be @ LEAST late teens by now… yet still looks about 12! (yes, i know he started as 10) his age has always been confudaling to me
Also, i recon, and i have NO reasearch on this, but alot of pokemon fans ARE in their late teens… like i said, this is just opion and has no fact in it.

In every generation, the best pokemon has been the fire type, looking best, having the best moves, etc, so everyone chose them (Mostly). I have a feeling that the ‘Mon most likely to be chosen is now the grass, as the it looks coller than a bounding pig. Turtwig was shown in the same posistion as Pokabu, and that’s not as popular as Chimcar, is it?

I might pick the grass or fire starter, but if the water starter got a cooler evolution than the other two, I’m gonna pick it.
Hmmm…..the grass one looks a bit snobby to me…the fire one…well…im not a pig-hugger…and the water one looks like piplup wearing a perfect Jason mask…i dont like any of them that much,i bet gen 4 starters could own them.But still, pretty awesome.

they look really average and they dont seem right together like the other starters do. they better do a good job because im not ready to hop off sinnoh and into this if is what the pokemon are going to look like.dont get me wrong their great images just they look too wierd. every generations starters have changed on a great scale but so far i dont like these ones.
Hi Rariolu. It’s hard to get these events into the magazine, and we are NEVER told about them FULL STOP. We only pick up on the same internet rumours as you do, only by then it’s too late to go into the magazine as we work four weeks in advance. Crazy really!

i think tsutaja looks like some smug lizard pokabu looks like a pig rabbit thing and Mijumaru looks more like a abominable snow panda no offence but pokemon has run out of starter ideas

I know what the ledgendarys are called: on Black it is called Reshiram, and on Black it is called Zekrom. They look ace!!!!!!

mijumaru is not a peice of crap it’s cute and fulffy and his evouloutions are really cool and ash’s one is funny it keeps poping out of its poke ball and it’s a male
Tsutaja is cool and kind of a show off in the anime but his evoultion’s are crap and ash’s one is a female
Pokabu is cute but is a BBQ pig and but his last evoulotion is crap.ash also get’s one witch is a male.
