Make and Do! Pokémon World Magazine Holder

by the Pocket World team

Fancy making a magazine holder to keep all your lovely issues of Pokémon World in?! They’re really fun to make and even more fun to decorate. We show you how in our step-by-step guide. Happy organising!

You will need…

To create your Magazine Holder you will need the following…
AN EMPTY CEREAL BOX
For cutting up and keeping the magazines in.
A PAIR OF SCISSORS
Ask an adult to help you, or get them to do the snipping.
SOME GLUE OR SELLOTAPE
To stick your decorations on.
SOME POSTERS, STICKERS, CARDS OR DRAWINGS
To decorate your magazine holder with.
A PENCIL AND RULER
To mark out where to cut.
LEVEL: EASY
TIME: 30 MINUTES

Make and Do! Pokémon World Magazine Holder1. Ask an adult to cut the top flaps off the top of the box – we don’t need these bits.

.

.

.

3. Get a grown-up to cut along the line you’ve just drawn, then draw another line across the side of the box to match-up and cut along there too.

4. Draw a line to match the angle you’ve drawn and cut out on the first panel, then snip down it.

Make and Do! Pokémon World Magazine Holder5. Now for the really fun part – decorating! We cut out Pokédex Cards from one of our issues of Pokémon World to stick all over our magazine holder, but you can use posters, stickers, paint, glitter – whatever takes your fancy.

6. If you choose to decorate your magazine holder with Pokédex Cards then don’t worry about sticking them down in a straight line – lay them out however you like and secure with sticky tape or glue. If you’ve used glue then wait for it to dry before putting your magazines inside the holder.

Check that your cereal box is big enough to fit your magazines in before cutting it up – some are smaller than others!
